Welcome to Lerkeveld

not just a student dorm...

Dear student,
Welcome to Lerkeveld, a house with a rich history. You notice this in the different communities that live and come together here: students in the North and South wings, Jesuits in the front house. Many guests also walk in and out of here every week for a visit or reflection, a meeting or conference, a book from Father Monden's library (+), and so on. You can see: this is an open and welcoming home.
At Lerkeveld, we offer more than just a room. We want to provide students with the opportunity to frame their studies within a broader humane education context by offering a "house program". This house program draws on three main pillars of our society: the social, the cultural and the religious/spiritual. Within these three pillars, a number of modules and seminars are offered, at least one of which you take each year.
As a student, you are not alone in this big house. The 'Lerkies' have long had a well-run presidium. Each corridor has a corridor leader. In addition, there is the director for technical and other questions: Mr. Dirk Van Tricht. For the house program, Father Walter Ceyssens s.j. is responsible.
